Develop problem solving skills
The development of problem solving skills is determinant in life. Although, it is common to encounter situations in which teenagers depend on their parents to make simple decisions.
The good news is that problem solving skills can be learned. By being part of a group of volunteers that work together to address health and social issues; teenagers become more independent, discuss strategies to solve problems, determine priorities, make decisions, and feel the satisfaction of achieving goals. The "Change By Teens" group is a great platform for teenagers to develop the mentioned abilities. -
Increase self-esteem
When kids are confident and secure about who they are, they’re more likely to have a growth mindset . That means they can motivate themselves to take on new challenges and cope with and learn from mistakes. They’re also more likely to stand up for themselves and ask for help when they need it . Improve capacity to work in a team setting
Science reinforces the idea that many brains are better than one. Teenagers have the opportunity to improve their capacity by working in teams; in a team setting, members share with others their skills, abilities, knowledge, and experiences. This is a great scenario in which they can create practical and useful solutions.
